Business Support & Promotion

We offer a variety of programs and services to market your business in the community and tourists, provide networking events, and access to exclusive financial benefits.

  • Free Advertising Opportunities – We run weekly email blasts, a monthly newsletter, create spectator guides for events, and social media postings to get the word out about your events and special promotions.

  • Job Posting & Employee Recruitment Services – We will list your open positions on our weekly email blasts and on our website, and communicate frequently with Michigan Works to recruit the right person for the job.

  • Marketing Assistance – Does your business’s image need an overhaul? How’s your online presence? We’ll put together a customized packet of information and tips to fit your particular business needs.

  • Listing in the Iron.org Directory – All our Chamber Members are listed on our Iron.org business directory so tourists and local residents can easily find your contact information.

  • Referrals, Visitor’s Center, & Area Brochures – Our office functions as a visitor’s center where we handle 400-500 calls per month for area information and services. We also provide brochures to tourists and campers who come to stay at the Klint Safford Memorial RV Park that we manage on site.

  • Networking Events – We hold regular Business After Hours to network with other business men and women, organize the annual Business Expo to interact with 500+ community members, and provide opportunities for you to have a presence at major community events.

  • Insurance – Being a Chamber Member entitles you & your employees to discounts on workman’s comp., business and other insurance options.

  • Ribbon Cuttings & Open Houses – For new businesses, new locations, and new departments of your business we’ll help you celebrate by inviting the media and community to see your new place!

Professional Development & Growth Resources

We provide professional development resources in house and partner with regional organizations to meet your business’s needs.

  • Regional Partnerships – we collaborate with and attend regular meetings with organizations like the Western Upper Peninsula Planning & Development Region, Michigan Works!, Northern Initiatives, and Michigan Economic Development Corporation that provide professional development seminars, employee recruitment and retention services, loans, grants and financial incentives, and data on local demographics.

  • Economic Development – We have ongoing economic development activities to identify and fill service gaps in our community. Ask us about the latest news and share your ideas with us!

Community Events

Your membership allows us to facilitate community and tourist-centered events that bring visitors to local businesses and tourists in area lodging.

  • Tourist-Centered Events – The ICECA plans and implements the Business Expo, Harvest & Haunt, and Christmas in Lights that draw tourism to our community.
  • Media Coverage — we market and support the events that we do not plan independently including the U.P. Championship Rodeo by creating promotional materials including a Spectator’s Guide featuring Chamber Member ads.
