Cross Country Trails 

Ski Brule


Cross country enthusiasts are welcomed by the 23 kilometers of groomed trails that span the resort. The trails at Ski Brule are heavily wooded, offering a snowy peek at the Brule River.

George Young Recreation Complex

The George Young Recreation Cross Country Ski Center offers 6 kilometers of groomed trails - prepared for both classical and skating techniques. Follow the trails to explore Wagner Lake or wind throughout the wooded expanse of the complex. The varying terrain provides excellent skiing for all ability levels - from novice to expert. Trails are open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday - Sunday (closed Monday - Wednesday). Rental equipment is available. The Listening Inn

  • Beautiful groomed cross country skiing trails. 14k of trails at the Listening Inn, our Tidd Tech Grooming system works well.
  • XC-Ski and Snowshoe Rentals available at the Inn

The trails at the Listening inn are always a nice work out. Our trails are open to the public for a trail fee of $6.00 daily or a Season pass for $60.00  Visiting skiiers are welcome to come in after and warm up with a hot drink. Our ski trails are 14k classical sking and we have 2 beginner loops, with not much dificulty. We also have separate snowshoe trails. Ge-Che Trails


Skiers are welcome to test the Ge-Che (meaning "Big Lake") cross country ski trails in the Ottawa National Forest. Double-tracked trails allow skiing in either direction (please keep to the right); single-tracked trails should only be skied in the direction of the arrows. For the skiers' convenience, trails are signed and marked with blue diamonds. The Ge-Che Trails are groomed and tracked by the Covenant Point Bible Camp in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service.



Lake Mary Plains Pathway


Test your endurance on the Lake Mary Plains Pathway cross country skiing trails. They are located in the Copper Country State Forest outside of Crystal Falls. The starting point and parking area are located at the Glidden Lake State Forest Campground. Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the pathway.
