Iron Range Trail Club
The Iron Range Trail Club's members are not only dedicated to keeping the trails ready and groomed for snowmobilers, but also having fun while they're doing it. The club is always looking for new members. A single membership is $10.00 and a family membership is $20.00. Members receive a twice yearly newsletter, go for club rides, and receive a members price on Amsoil, a synthetic oil. If you are interested in joining, e-mail saighins@ironriver.tv or stop by. During the winter, club members are busy operating the groomers and enjoying the trails. In the summer they work on maintaining the trails and bridges. THE CLUBHOUSE IS OPEN EVERY WEDNESDAY NIGHT FROM 6PM TO 10PM PUBLIC WELCOME NEW MEMBERS WELCOME! Meetings are held at 7pm the 2nd Wednesday of every month at the Clubhouse. The IRTC Clubhouse houses 3 Tucker groomers and drags which groom 148 miles of trail at least twice a week during the snowmobile season. Never forget that the groomers perform an important job! Without the groomers and the people who operate them, a snowmobile trail can become a bumpy, teeth-rattling endurance test. Grooming a trail takes time. The groomers only travel about 6 mph, and most of the runs last 12 to 14 hours round trip.
