Thursday July 9,

This event starts off with BINGO  at the Nylund Building on Superior Avenue. Doors will open at 5:30pm with the event beginning at 6pm. Prizes, cash jackpots, and concessions are available.

Friday July 10,

Things heat up as Nylund’s seventh annual Boxing Invitational takes center stage. Doors open at 5:30pm with the action beginning at 7pm. Concessions will be available.

Saturday July 11,

The Bass festival parade will begin at 10am on Superior Avenue. This years theme is “Celebrating 50 Years of Fun.”

The parade will be followed with Canoe races on the Paint River at 11:30am.

At noon, the community picnic featuring a chicken barbeque dinner will start activities at Runkle Lake Park on the east end of town. At noon, the volleyball tournament begins, caricature drawings will be available throughout the day. There will be music from noon-2pm and music by crossroads with Larry Ketola from 2-6pm. The traditional softball battle between the Wops and Swedes begins at 7:30 at the ball field.

Sunday July 12,

Activities begin with a full pancake breakfast with sausage and ham at the VFW Post on Superior Avenue from 8am-noon. Everyone welcome.

The renowned Run Your Bass Off 5K and 10K, along with the Walk Your Bass Off 5K starts at 9am at Runkle Lake. Registration is at 8am. Costs are $20 for adults, $15 for teens (age 14-19), and $10 for children (13 and under) if registered by June 30. There is an additional $5 fee for any registration after that date. For more information on the race, visit www.runyourbassoff.com. The festivities continue, with the community picnic and volleyball tournament at noon at Runckle Lake Park. There will also be concessions with food and refreshments.

The final entries for the fishing contest will be accepted.

The baby contest, for children 3 and under & the horseshoe tournament also begin at noon. Kids’ games and races kickoff at 2pm. Music by Chris Kuzak Band will last from 2-6pm. Finishing contest prizes will be awarded beginning at 3:30pm.

During this year’s Bass fest the Lion’s Club will be selling their raffle tickets. Only 1,400 tickets will be sold and the top prize will be $1,000.
